Boardroom Briefs is intended to provide highlights of presentations, reports and decisions made at the regular meeting of the Limestone District School Board of Trustees. The following are highlights of the October 29, 2025 Regular Board Meeting.

DEAR SIMCOE STAR FAMILIES, As we usher in November, we are excited about all the progress that students are making. We are engaging in ongoing progress monitoring, specifically assessing student's math and literacy skills over the first two months of school.

Dear Families, It is hard to believe we are already approaching the end of October. Excluding today and a handful of other days, we have enjoyed a beautiful and relatively warm fall.

Dear Families, Limestone is committed to supporting every student in achieving success. To do this, we need to better understand how students’ identities, experiences, and academic outcomes are connected.

DEAR SIMCOE STAR FAMILIES, We hope you all had an amazing weekend. Thanks to all of you who attended our Glow Dance on Friday night. We had a huge turnout, exceeded our expectations, and raised a lot of funds that will directly go back to supporting students.

During the potential inclement weather months (roughly early November to early April), our transportation partner, Tri-Board Student Transportation Services (Tri-Board), works closely with their school bus companies to determine if it is safe to offer school transportation on inclement weather days.

Dear Grades 7-12 Families, You are invited to attend the Limestone District School Board’s (LDSB) Pathways to Possibility: LDSB Entrepreneur Information Night on October 15, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fractal Workspace (632 Fortune Crescent) in-person or online!
